What is deemed unacceptable behaviour or emotional abuse of a child?

This is unacceptable behavior on the adults part. The normal boundaries have been blurred to a confusing mess of emotions.It is inappropriate for an adult to have such a confusing relationship with this boy. He feels uncomfortable and awkward because the adult in not behaving appropriately. The warning signs are obvious and this adult is emotionally immature and needy at the childs expense. Just as an alcoholic must give up his alcohol, your friend must stop this dangerous game he is playing. Period. Your friend may not intend any harm but deep down he must know that the relationship is inappropriate. He needs to end it now. It is not abuse yet, but is very close. I hope he is reasonable enough to listen to your concerns. Your instincts are right in asking this question.
