Kissing Gourami acting weird.?

Gouramis are carnivores. Whoever told you they will eat algae is VERY wrong. What kind of "fish food" are you using? Most will eat flakes, but some will be pickier, prefering pellets, or even just frozen food (brine shrimp, bloodworms, mysis, etc.). Also, please check your ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels; stress from these factors could cause the Gourami to exhibit temporary annorexia. I realize you said your tank is cycled, but many people just ume this without actually looking at their tests-- 2 and a half weeks is almost never enough to totally cycle a tank without adding live media from another tank (which you may very well have done; I don't know).
