Why do Democrats shamelessly preach that we can all achieve peace, prosperity, and tranquility without -- -?

Because liberals are unrealistic idealists. They have noble intentions but lack the common sense to recognize the obstacles in the way and the work ethic to get over them. They're a lot like children; well-intentioned but ignorant.
