TERMINATOR: What would happen to existing John Connor in the future if he was terminated in the past?

if he got killed in the past, he wouldn't be there to set up the resistance and so he wouldn't of been killed this would keep going on until finally because it had happened so many times it would be like feedback from speakers and a microphone and would destroy the universe
